Welcome Back!
The beginning of the 2011-12 academic year brings with it a great deal of anticipation and enthusiasm as we welcome a new superintendent, principals, and many new faculty and staff members to the district.
At the CEF, we are very excited to announce that September 14 we awarded our 30th Grant to fund Wireless Technology at the Osgood and Deer Hill Schools. This grant award from the CEF will be combined with funds from the school budget that will finance a wireless network at the Middle/High School as well.
In the past five years, your generosity has enabled the CEF to fund over $590,000 in grants across all schools in a variety of curriculum areas including Foreign Language [Middle/High School Foreign Language Labs], Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) [Middle School Engineering Lab (co-funded with the PSO), Deer Hill School STEM Lab] and English/Language Arts [Deer Hill Netbooks and Osgood Classroom Computers].
Since our rejuvenation our slogan has been “Our kids, our town, and our future.” As we celebrate our fifth year, we aim to continue to work in partnership with the schools and the community at large to promote excellence in Cohasset’s public education. Your support ensures that our teachers and schools will receive the resources they need to enable innovation and ensure student success.
